Rapidform Announces Training Conference for 3D Scanning Industry Professionals

Sunnyvale, Calif. – January 22, 2009 --Rapidform Inc., the exclusive licensor of Rapidform® 3D scanning software in the Americas, today announced the first ever Rapidform Success Training Conference. This exclusive event is available to users of Rapidform XOR, XOV, XOS and RapidWorks to sharpen their skill set in 3D scanning, reverse engineering and quality inspection. More than just a user conference, the Success Training Conference focuses exclusively on hands-on training to ensure that every Rapidform user gets the most value out of his or her software. The inaugural conference will be held at the Las Vegas Hilton, April 14-17, 2009.


Technical Topics
At the conference, attendees will be able to choose from a variety of in-depth training courses on topics such as:
Scan cleanup & optimization
Best practices for aligning & merging multiple scans
Creating solid models from 3D scans
Specialty sessions on how to turn 3D scan data into parametric CAD models for:
- SolidWorks
- Pro/E Wildfire
- Siemens (Unigraphics) NX
Auto surfacing best practices
How to use your 3D scanner with Rapidform
Hybrid modeling (surfaces + solids together)
Sheet metal reverse engineering
GD&T inspection
Application-specific sessions such as castings, stampings
and non-design scans (archeology, etc.)
Every course is limited to no more than 15 trainees to ensure that every attendee gets the most possible value from the conference.


Certification
Attendees will also have the ability to become a Rapidform Certified Professional via an exam after the conference. This newly available recognition is invaluable to 3D scanning service providers and others to set themselves apart in the world of 3D scanning.
