IDES Launches 'Green Plastics' Search in Prospector Database

DES LAUNCHES ‘GREEN PLASTICS’ SEARCH IN PROSPECTOR DATABASE

LARAMIE, Wyo. – September 30, 2008 – IDES Inc. ( www.ides.com), home of The Plastics Web® and the fastest growing search destination for the plastics industry announced today that they have released a search module in their plastic material datasheet search engine, Prospector, that quickly accesses ‘green plastics’ that are biodegradable, include recycled content, or are derived from renewable resources.

“Since bioplastics have become such an important topic, we chose to develop a green plastics search to help industry professionals select eco-friendly materials,” said Mike Kmetz, president of IDES. “Each day we are learning about new bioplastics entering the market and our team of engineers adds new data to our Prospector database each week.”

Technical product information in the Prospector search engine highlights more than 170 green plastic materials from suppliers including BASF, Dow Plastics, DuPont Engineering Polymers, Eastman Chemical Group, Ecoplast, NatureWorks LLC, SABIC Innovative Plastics, and many more.
