QuadriSpace introduces the first 3D PDF authoring suite priced under $100

Allen, Texas – September 12, 2008 – QuadriSpace™ Corporation, a leading provider of 3D communication and documentation software, today redefined the way companies use 3D PDF by offering a low-cost alternative that is easy-to-use.

Today, QuadriSpace announced that it now offers a 3D PDF communication suite for only $95. This software allows users to effectively communicate using the powerful 3D PDF file format. The 3D PDF file format has provided a strong platform which allows users to embed 3D models in a standard document format and then share this document with others who are able to rotate, pan and zoom the 3D model interactively.

QuadriSpace offers a complete set of authoring tools that make it easy to create these powerful 3D PDF files. The entry level product is now available for less than $100. Unlike Acrobat™ Professional Extended, which merely allows users to add 3D to existing PDF documents, QuadriSpace’s patented approach allows users to author documents from scratch and share these as 3D PDF documents complete with text, tables, multiple pages, markups and clickable bookmarks that animate between 3D views. In addition, Acrobat requires the use of an external program to edit the 3D; QuadriSpace provides an integrated environment that lets users edit the 3D directly without leaving the document authoring application.

“With this $95 product, QuadriSpace is breaking two significant barriers to widespread 3D PDF use: ease of creation and affordability,” states Brian Roberts, President, “Now anyone can share 3D without a big investment or wasted time learning multiple, complicated programs.”

Further, fully interactive documents, such as step-by-step procedures or clickable part lists can be created with QuadriSpace without writing a single line of JavaScript. Similar documents would require a full-time software development project in Acrobat but are as easy to create in QuadriSpace as using Microsoft® PowerPoint.

Ease-of-use is not the only benefit of using QuadriSpace. With this solution, you can quickly update entire documents when your 3D model changes. This update process will modify every relevant 3D view that you captured and then create a new 3D PDF that includes all of the changes to the 3D model, saving days of tedious rework.
