Mastercam #1 among CAM Software Applications; Mastercam Ranks 1st in Installed Seats Worldwide for the 14th Year in a Row

July 10, 2008 - Tolland , CT – The most recent analysis of CAM software seats produced by CIMdata, Inc. shows that CNC Software’s Mastercam ® is once again the world’s most widely-used CAM software for the 14th straight year. With almost 136,000 installed seats worldwide, Mastercam has more than twice the installed base of the closest competitor. CNC Software President Mark Summers says, “There is a lot of competition in the CAM market today, and we are pleased to be at the top. We have worked hard to develop the best CAD/CAM software we possibly can by constantly updating our software to reflect our customer’s needs.”

CNC Software is the leader in global installed seats among all CAM vendors. CIMdata Chairman Alan Christman notes, As in prior years, Mastercam has proven itself to be the most widely-used CAM software in the world, based on total installed seats. When those installed seats are broken out, it also ranks #1 in both the industrial and educational markets.”

“CNC Software always strives to be the leader in the CAD/CAM industry,” Summers comments. “We’re happy that Mastercam’s popularity means more people know the software. This means shops have an easier time finding good programmers, students entering the workplace know our software, and individuals who know Mastercam have an easier time finding a good job.”
