Concurrent Introduces FlexRay Support in SIMulation Workbench

ATLANTA—(BUSINESS WIRE)—May 21, 2008— Concurrent (NASDAQ:CCUR), a worldwide provider of integrated Linux solutions today announced that it has added support for the FlexRay communications standard to its SIMulation Workbench product.

Concurrents SIMulation Workbench is a complete software environment for developing and executing real-time hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and man-in-the-loop (MIL) simulations. This new support provides automotive engineers an environment to reduce test and integration time for new advanced automotive designs. FlexRay is an advanced automotive network standard for deterministic, fault-tolerant, high-speed data communication specified by the FlexRay Consortium. The consortium partners include BMW, Bosch, Daimler, Freescale, General Motors, NXP Semiconductors and Volkswagen.

Sandeep Kar, Sr. Industry Analyst in Frost & Sullivans Advanced Automotive Technologies Practices commented: Our research shows that approximately twenty percent of all light vehicles manufactured for the North American automotive market will incorporate FlexRay as their communication bus by the year 2012. Concurrents anticipation of this market growth and their product offering provides a catalyst for the industry to quickly adopt this emerging technology.

Concurrent has extensive experience providing solutions to automotive manufacturers including Ford Motor Company and General Motors. The addition of support for the FlexRay standard creates a new market potential for SIMulation Workbench, said Dan Mondor, Concurrent president and CEO.

Concurrents initial FlexRay installation is for a major European automotive manufacturer in partnership with TZ Mikroelektronik (TZM), a leading FlexRay hardware implementer.
