ASCON Group, one of the leading developer and integrator of CAD/AEC/PLM solutions, announced an overall results of company's activities for the last year at an annual press conference.

In the year 2007 the turnover of ASCON amounted to 26,8 million $, that is almost two times more than the similar outcome of 2006. During last year about 8 000 licenses of ASCON' flagship products - KOMPAS-3D and KOMPAS-Graphic was sold. It is equal to a half of all the sales of KOMPAS for its 10-years history and to confirm an acknowledgement of quality and advantages of solutions by its customers. Awaited release of our Mechanical CAD Solution KOMPAS-3D V9 was launched with a great success, software became more available for users all over the world with the appearance of German, French and Czech versions, as well as with the considerable extending of resellers network. More than 60 offices and dealer centers of ASCON operates in major industrial regions of Russia and worldwide. And each branch of the company provides a full range of services in consulting, training and software installation, integration and support for clients. Participation in the main international fairs (Hannover Messe, EuroMold etc.) brought a lot of fruitful contacts and new partners, newly launched discussion forum made quicker feed back and easier communication with customers.

Last year the changes took place in an administrative board of ASCON. Alexander Golikov CEO and chairman of ASCON up to 2007, now completely concentrated on questions in competence of Chairman of the Board of ASCON Group. Maxim Bogdanov, foremer Chief Marketing Officer of ASCON, was appointed to position of ASCON CEO since 1 January 2008.

At the end of 2007 a flagship product of ASCON, system of 3D solid modelling KOMPAS-3D, was included in standard basic set of software for educational institutions in the national project "Education". According to the program more than 300 000 professional licenses of KOMPAS-3D with libraries will be installed in 6 100 education institutions. In addition more than 64 000 schools will receive unlimited license of KOMPAS-3D LT for students' and teachers' usage at school and at home.

Strategical aims of ASCON for 2008 are:

• development and release of a new version of MCAD product - KOMPAS-3D V10 with improvements and novelties;
• keep growth of company's turnover at the level from 30% to 45%;
• new partnerships with leading soft- and hardware producers;
• extending and strengthening of network of an international VARs.
