Unisys and EMC Expand Relationship in Enterprise Content Management with Documentum Agreement

BLUE BELL, Pa.—(BUSINESS WIRE)—March 25, 2008— Unisys Corporation (NYSE: UIS) today announced that it has expanded its alliance with EMC (NYSE:EMC) to jointly market EMC Documentum, a market-leading unified enterprise content management software platform.

The global cross-industry agreement enables Unisys to expand its team of Documentum-certified consultants who implement and deploy EMC enterprise content management solutions. The expansion of these Documentum services strengthens Unisys market position and worldwide portfolio of enterprise content management solutions built on best-in-class products from Unisys and its partners.

Unisys has developed a standards-based interface between its 3D Blueprinting modelling methodology and EMC's Documentum. This interface enables Unisys to deploy Documentum solutions designed with 3D Blueprinting modelling tools more rapidly and securely. Unisys 3D Blueprinting allows clients to model and better understand the interconnections of their various enterprise content management activities (e.g., data administration; records, contract and case management; regulatory compliance; and other information-intensive tasks). As a result, Unisys customers can achieve potentially significant cost and time savings and reduce risk when implementing enterprise content management initiatives by gaining visibility into the potential future impacts of implementing solutions so they can better prepare for change.

"Unisys brings expertise in content management in a wide variety of private industries as well as the public sector, and its blueprinting approach provides a value-added service for Documentum customers," says Mark Lewis, president, Content Management and Archiving division at EMC. "We look forward to leveraging the decades-long relationship between Unisys and EMC to continue to develop innovative technology solutions together."

EMC and Unisys have worked together since 1991, developing and marketing industry leading services and solutions, bundling EMC storage platforms and Unisys servers, and working in tandem with joint customers in the enterprise content management market. Unisys supports clients in more than 20 countries with enterprise content management solutions. Recently, Unisys and EMC have collaborated successfully to win new opportunities at key clients including the New Zealand Parliamentary Counsel Office and the State of California.

"EMC's market leading products are highly complementary and well aligned with the Unisys enterprise content management strategy," says Ira Kirsch, vice president and general manager of the North American Public Sector practice at Unisys Corporation. "Together, we have a great opportunity to help solve our customers' most complex and challenging business problems such as the ever-increasing pressures to comply with standards and regulations, requirements to maximize productivity, and ongoing challenges to optimize competitive advantage."
