Bunkspeed Taps Cadalog As New Japan Distributor

Cadalog to develop and drive Japan sales of Bunkspeed's HyperShot 3D rendering software

Los Angeles, California, February 19, 2008 - Bunkspeed, Inc. announced today the selection of Cadalog as a major reseller and distributor of HyperShot in Japan.

HyperShot is Bunkspeed's groundbreaking application that finally takes the complexity and high cost out of 3D rendering. In as little as fifteen minutes, even first time users can load a 3D model into HyperShot, add materials, and then apply realistic lighting via High Dynamic Range Images (HDRI). The result is an "interactive photograph" that designers can easily manipulate in any direction.

Cadalog's successful track record of distributing CAD products in Japan makes the company a natural pick to develop strong sales channels for HyperShot in this important market. As the master distributor for McNeel's Rhinoceros™ 3D modeling software and Google's SketchUp 3D modeling program, Cadalog has built a solid network of 25 resellers throughout Asia.

The company plans on utilizing this strategic sales channel to distribute HyperShot in Japan, while directly marketing to their database of 25,000 CAD users through forums, workshops, and mailings.

"I strongly believe HyperShot answers a particular need for industrial designers and mechanical engineers in Japan who seek a fast, affordable ray tracing program," David Wayne, Cadalog CEO, states. "The low price point and ease of use makes HyperShot the first truly accessible rendering program to the individual user."

He continues, "It's a great match with our distribution portfolio of quality CAD products. In fact, we plan on bundling HyperShot with some of our other low-cost industrial design offerings."

Cadalog has cultivated many valuable relationships in the Asian consumer electronics and mechanical design markets, where heavy use of CAD products like SolidWorks™, Pro/ENGINEER™ and Rhino opens up many opportunities for HyperShot. A 3D model created in any of these applications can be directly rendered into photographic imagery by HyperShot, literally in just minutes.

"Japan is a vital market for Bunkspeed, so it was important we brought on a distributor who was clearly accomplished at building fruitful sales channels there," says Philip Lunn, Bunkspeed CEO. "We couldn't be more confident in our decision to choose Cadalog. It's a pleasure to welcome them into the Bunkspeed family."

Cadalog has launched an exclusive HyperShot website for the Japan market. For more information on HyperShot products, promotions, and upcoming seminars, visit www.hypershotjapan.com.
