3D-Tool CAD-Viewer V8 Released

3D-Tool announces the release of version 8 of its 3D and 2D CAD viewer.

“Though 3D-Tool is aimed mainly on the needs of technicians we decided to add some advanced presentation features which can be helpful to point out important aspects of a construction such as the assembly of its parts.”, states Ingo Wulf, head of 3D-Tool.
The new “Assembly Explode” tool allows a person to create exploded views of the model without losing the original positions of its elements. With the new “Animation” tool it is possible to arrange these assembly explodes and other user-defined “Custom Views” to create continuous animations. The animations can be played directly in 3D-Tool or exported as AVI video. When doing cross sections it is now possible to display the intersections as filled. And in addition to the global render mode, different render modes can now be assigned to each element of the model.
Picking references for measurements is now aided by an automatic pre-selection of references. Possible references are highlighted when moving the cursor over the model and can be easily picked with just a click. The new “Auto” measure tool speeds up the markup of distances and angles.
  •          Property Editor for easy editing of part and shell properties.
  •          Function to align the view parallel to the screen.
  •          Printable PDF-Manual.
  •          Up to 50% increased display speed.

  •          Support of 3D-mouses made by 3Dconnexion.

3D-Tool V 8.0 is available in two versions - “Basic” and “Advanced”. The basic version supports common formats such as STL, VRML, SLP and 3DS. The advanced interface additionally supports STEP, IGS, VDA, SAT and PARASOLID files. Both versions support the 2D formats DXF, DWG and HPGL. Version 8.0 is downloadable from www.3D-Tool.de and can be evaluated for 14 days, unrestricted and without obligation, after requesting a free Trial Key. CONTACT:Mail: Email Contact
