3D Systems Launches Productivity Tools for Sinterstation

ROCK HILL, S.C.—(BUSINESS WIRE)—September 26, 2007— 3D Systems Corporation (NASDAQ: TDSC), a leading provider of 3-D Modeling, Rapid Prototyping and Manufacturing solutions, announced today the release of LS 3.44 and OptiScan(TM) Software for use with its mid-frame Sinterstation(R) SLS(R) Systems.

LS Software drives the company's Sinterstation(R) HiQ(TM), Vanguard, and 2500 plus SLS(R) Systems. These systems use a CO2 laser to selectively melt and fuse powered plastics or metals into solid cross-sections, layer by layer, to form a solid object. This latest version of the LS software, which will be available by the end of October, has a number of enhancements, including the new OptiScan(TM) module.

OptiScan(TM) Software, optional software available for use with LS 3.44 for HiQ(TM) and HiQ(TM)-HS system users, improves the performance of Sinterstation(R) HiQ(TM) SLS(R) Systems by reducing laser scan times, resulting in build speed increases of up to 43 percent. The improvements depend on geometry, layout and number of parts, but the company expects that users can expect a build speed increase of about 10 percent for typical geometries and layouts.

One other key feature of the LS 3.44 software is the enhancement of the log file management in the RealMonitor(TM) utility. This new LogManager(TM) utility software consolidates various log file handling utilities into one, easy-to-use software module. The advanced graphical display mode of the LogManager(TM) software, available as an option, enables users to conveniently analyze each build session or a series of historical build sessions in one graphical display, further enhancing the value to users.

"We are pleased to continuously enhance the productivity of our systems," said Abe Reichental, 3D Systems' president and chief executive officer. "3D Systems is continually working to develop solutions that save our customers time and money. LS 3.44 and OptiScan(TM) Software are among the products that are designed to meet those objectives."
