Tools4CAM Announces Free Toolpath Optimization Service as a Simple Way to Immediately Cut CNC Machining Costs

Boulder, CO: -- Tools4CAM announces the first web service for toolpath optimization is now free. This unique toolpath optimization service is designed to work with G&M code for milling operations from any CAM or manual programming system. It can reduce machining time an average of 50% and significantly minimize tooling wear. For the first time, any size company involved with CNC machining can take advantage of this free service to optimize their toolpath data. This is done by adjusting feedrates to control overtravel, replacing line segments with arcs or nurbs where possible, minimizing overtravel and abrupt linear moves, and reducing the toolpath file size (typically by 75%). Production jobs will see the savings add up each time the optimized toolpath is run.

This web service is powered by MetaCut(tm) toolpath optimization software, created by Northwood Designs, Inc. MetaCut was developed in the early nineties and continues to be updated to include the latest proven optimization algorithms. The product is being used by thousands of machine shops around the world as a way to minimize the amount of time a part/mold/die spends on their old and new CNC machines. Tools4CAM is the first company to offer this technology for free so everyone can cut costs during these difficult economic times. All that is required to use the optimization service is to fill out a simple web-based form on and the results are automatically emailed to you. No software training is required.

"We are extremely pleased to bring this world class technology to everyone involved with vertical milling on CNC machines," states Mark Kostovny, President of Tools4CAM LLC, "regardless of the current method used to program the CNC machine tool, our free service will result in dramatic manufacturing cost reductions."
