Walton Construction Replaces Three Standalone Systems with One Integrated CMiC Software Solution

TORONTO—(BUSINESS WIRE)—July 23, 2007— CMiC, the leader in enterprise-wide software solutions for the construction industry, announced today that Walton Construction Company, LLC will replace their financial accounting, project management and customer relationship management software tools with CMiC's fully-integrated Enterprise, Project Management and Integration product suites.

"We struggled with our accounting system handling our huge increase in volume over the last several years," said Ward Shaw, Vice President of Strategic Services at Walton. "We ran into technology and efficiency issues trying to convert data back and forth between the systems. While the need for more robust financial accounting software drove our need to look for alternatives, it made sense that we took the opportunity to look for a solution that also helped us in other areas. By making the same information easily accessible and usable across functionalities, we can better manage our business and serve our customers. Additionally, we felt CMiC could handle our future growth and needs."

Walton Construction, an award-winning general contractor that has performed work in 37 states on a variety of major projects, also found that CMiC's construction industry focus was a deciding factor. "In choosing CMiC as our enterprise-solution provider, we wouldn't be burdened with teaching our software provider the nuances of the architectural, engineering and construction business," said Shaw. "CMiC already understands how owners, architects, subcontractors and other key relationships work in our business."

"We are pleased to have Walton Construction partner with us," said Bassem Hamdy, Vice President of Solutions at CMiC. "Walton has discovered that CMiC is the choice for project-based organizations that want to streamline operations and improve productivity and efficiency."
