June 21, 2007 -- Last April 2007 Aerodata Int. Surveys successfully used the extremely fine weather period for the acquisition of nationwide digital aerial imagery over 3 countries: The Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg (also known as the Benelux). An area of 80.000 sq km was digitally captured in a period of just 4 weeks, thereby creating a unique time document of the above countries.
This aerial photography is presently being merged into one very large image database both in color (RGB) and color infrared (NIR) at 40 cm GSD (ground sample distance).
Besides the interested general public, this map-accurate digital product is mainly aimed at serving the ever widening community of GIS users that need current, high resolution imagery for their projects.
As usual it will be available exclusively under the aeroGRID® brand name, both online and off line, depending on data volume and client needs.
