Andretti Green Racing driver Tony Kanaan, the 2004 IndyCar Series champion, won the Milwaukee A.J. Foyt IndyCar 225 for the second consecutive year. This is Kanaan's second IndyCar Series this year and his ninth career IndyCar Series victory. Teammate Dario Franchitti, who won the Indy 500 last week, finished second and moved into the lead in the IndyCar Series driver championship.
KB Racing's Greg Anderson, the three-time NHRA Pro Stock world champion, won the O'Reilly NHRA Summer Nationals. This win, Anderson's fifth this season, combined with teammate Jason Line's win at the O'Reilly NHRA Spring Nationals gives KB Racing six of the first eight races this season.
