Rappahannock Electric Cooperative Selects GO! Sync Mobile GIS

Carlsbad, CA, May 11, 2007-- TC Technology announces that Rappahannock Electric Cooperative (REC) has selected GO! Sync Mapbook with Redline Extension as its Mobile GIS standard. GO! Sync’s intuitive sketching and mapping software will seamlessly integrate with REC's enterprise geographic information system (GIS) providing critical information to both office and field personnel in support of engineering, operations and customer-service workflows.

REC is a member-owned utility providing electric service to more than 100,000 connections in parts of 16 Virginia counties. The cooperative maintains over 12,000 miles of power lines through its service area, which ranges from the Blue Ridge Mountains to the Rappahannock River .

Craig Lewis, manager of administrative services/controller, "REC has invested in GIS to improve customer service, operations, and decisions. GO! Sync Mapbook offers a way for us leverage that investment by equipping our personnel with easy-to-use mobile GIS.”
