Another successful year
After being recognized as the winner of IndustryWeek magazine's Technology of the Year Award for 2005, UGS and Teamcenter enjoyed another successful year in 2006. In addition to achieving the three million license plateau, Teamcenter was awarded several major customer contracts in 2006 including expanded deployments at Lockheed Martin for the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter Program and Ford Motor Company for 57 worldwide vehicle programs. Teamcenter was also selected as the enterprise data management system at Boeing, and the Teamcenter Express solution for small to medium size businesses (SMB) has now been deployed in 26 countries since its introduction just over one year ago.
In addition, Teamcenter received Aviation Week & Space Technology magazine's 2006 Technology Innovation Award, while CIMdata recognized UGS as a PLM leader and number one in cPDM market presence. Finally, industry analyst firm Gartner placed UGS in the leaders quadrant of its PLM Magic Quadrant.
