New version of Nemetschek Allplan FT now available!

Nemetschek CAD Solution Sets New Standard in Planning

Munich, 20th June, 2002 – Up to three times faster and even easier to use: The new version 17 of the leading CAD system Allplan FT enables planners to achieve their goal even more effectively and comfortably. The powerful CAD solution, which is available from today, features the revolutionary 3D sketching tool for the first time. This tool affords an even greater degree of creative freedom in the planning process. Freehand 3D sketching straight in the 3D model is easy and comfortable. The focus at Nemetschek during the development of the new version 17 was also on speed – some functions now execute up to five times faster.

3D Sketching tool
As an innovative creativity tool, the new version of Allplan FT sets high standards and offers numerous important advantages with the new 3D Sketching tool: users can create solids and surfaces in 3D space simply by sketching on surfaces; objects can quickly be cut as needed or pierced, and the process of modeling surfaces is totally intuitive. Thanks to the seamless integration in Allplan FT the new objects can then be further processed directly and comfortably. This revolutionary new method means a significant increase in productivity when it comes to making initial drawings, roof modeling, fa硤e design and urban and landscape planning. Gunther Wildermuth, Head of Corporate Development and a member of the Nemetschek management said: "With the latest version of Allplan FT we are offering planners a totally new dimension of the CAD creativity tool. Initial reactions show quite clearly that this version sets a new standard in the CAD arena."

Enthusiastic beta users
The beta testers of the new CAD solution are enthusiastic. Klaus Hannig from the architectural firm Hannig in Hamburg: "I have looked at the new features in V17 and I'm enthusiastic. Besides the enhancements in the general-purpose modules I was particularly impressed by the enhancements in the 3D Modeling module. The 3D Sketching tool is sensational."

Optimal usage and interactive walk-through
In version 17 of the planning software, speed and ease of use, which is totally intuitive, have been further expanded. For example, full support is now provided for mouse wheels, users can choose which of the last 30 commands they want to redo in a rapid selection list, and component properties can be modified directly in animation mode. It is also possible to perform interactive walk-throughs and open multiple viewports while in animation mode. The ability to compare existing planning alternatives has also been further optimized, which means that the planning process is even more effective and productive.
