HighRES Releases Direct Measurement and Inspection Features for Rhino 4.0

LA JOLLA, Calif.—(BUSINESS WIRE)—March 6, 2007— HighRES, Inc., providers of CAD integrated reverse engineering and inspection software solutions, announces their newest software release, HighRES for Rhino 4.0. This new release includes features relative to inspection and measurement applications. Users may now interact with their portable CMMs to quickly inspect data back to their original CAD drawing, directly inside of Rhino.

Some significant enhancements to the already robust HighRES plug-in include:

-- HighRES Part-to-CAD alignment; users can now inspect and measure point deviation back to the original CAD drawing.

-- HighRES Point/Surface deviation; users can analyze and review the distance between selected points and a surface.

-- HighRES Hold Cutplane; users can quickly capture profile sections for inspection purposes.

"This completely eliminates the need to move outside of Rhino and significantly increases productivity while performing these tasks."

The HighRES Rhino integrated reverse engineering and inspection software plug-in can potentially increase productivity by 80-100%. Users, inside of Rhino, can now quickly and easily digitize or inspect while directly utilizing a portable CMM such as FARO, ROMER, Microscribe or 3D Creator. HighRES offers several levels of software solutions consisting of feature rich options to choose from including BASIC, ADVANCED or INDUSTRIAL.
