SINDA/G for Patran is a transparent integration of SINDA/G into the MSC.Patran Finite Element Analysis (FEA) modeling system. This product will benefit both the beginning thermal modeler and the advanced thermal analyst. The transparent integration allows new users to operate advanced thermal features involving convection, surface-to-surface radiation, and heating, without having to know the format of SINDA/G or thermal radiation codes. Experienced SINDA/G users will no longer be limited by the simple boundary conditions typically associated with FEA thermal codes, but can now experience the full power of SINDA/G within their MSC.Patran FEA environment.
The popularity of MSC.Products (Patran, Nastran, Marc, Dytran, etc.) in the aerospace world for building structural models has created a graphical modeling environment ideal for producing SINDA/G thermal models. These models have enhanced the concurrent engineering processes of aerospace design by allowing temperatures computed from advanced SINDA/G models to be used by Nastran, Marc, Dytran etc. for thermal stress/distortion computations. Patran is widely recognized and readily available among thermal engineers in the aerospace community. Since many thermal engineers are already familiar with Patran, the learning curve for this product is greatly reduced, and thus eliminates the need to learn another modeling system.
Version 2.5 of this product is now shipping. It has a powerful connection to thermal radiation codes such as THERMICA, NEVADA, TRASYS and TSS. True geometric shapes can now be created within Patran and used by thermal radiation codes.
A revolutionary new concept called "radiation super elements" allows small finite element faces to be grouped into super elements that have only one view factor and absorbed heat flux, thus greatly reducing radiation calculation time.
SINDA/G is one of the most trusted thermal design systems in the world. When integrated into an FEA modeler such as MSC.Patran, UGS - FEMAP, ANSYS or HyperMesh, these finite element models are translated in a SINDA/G network thermal model. SINDA/G is stable and can quickly solve large complex nonlinear thermal models involving temperature dependent thermal properties, radiation, and orthotropic material properties.

Advanced materials such as orthotropic, temperature dependent, and MLI
Advanced thermal loads including a built in convection wizard for previewing the convection coefficient and easily adding numerous complex convection correlations to models.
