INCAT To Distribute OPTIS Software

Pune, November 20, 2006 - INCAT, a Tata Technologies operating company, today announced an agreement with OPTIS of France to distribute and implement SPEOS, the world's leading simulation software for designing lighting systems and mastering light within products.

The timely move into light simulation software will add to INCAT's existing portfolio of comprehensive engineering & design (E&D) services for new product development that it provides to the world's major automotive, aerospace and durable goods manufacturers. INCAT is also the world's leading independent provider of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions.

SPEOS is the first software to integrate optics, light, visual ergonomics and human vision in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM). This integrated technology enables the same software to be used for mechanical design, lighting analysis, optical design and rendering, eliminating data loss which can occur when exchanging between separate applications, and enabling significant time and cost savings. SPEOS is used by many of the world's foremost automotive, electronics and lighting companies to optimize the lighting performance and visual aspect of their products.

"The addition of SPEOS to our product portfolio not only allows us to provide additional value to our existing customer base in the automotive, aerospace and consumer durable sectors, but gives us the opportunity to enter new industry verticals," said Samir Yajnik, COO Asia Pacific for INCAT.

Under the terms of the agreement with OPTIS, INCAT as a Gold Partner will distribute, implement and support SPEOS in India, Thailand and Singapore.

Jacques Delacour, CEO & President, OPTIS said: "Thanks to this new partnership, OPTIS will benefit from INCAT's well-established relationship with many world-class manufacturers. INCAT will now be able to provide their customers with advanced, CAD-integrated solutions for understanding and mastering the lighting in their products."

INCAT will also distribute SPEOS CAA V5 BASED which allows CATIA V5 users to master light throughout the design process.
Other key features of OPTIS' products include fast photometric, colorimetric analysis; real-life measurement and characterization of materials surfaces and lighting sources; simulation as perceived in real lit environment; industry proven, physics-based SPEOS technology and a fast learning curve.

INCAT is a Tata Technologies company. Founded in 1989, the Company is a leading independent international provider of engineering and design (E&D) services to the world's largest automotive, aerospace and durable goods manufacturers. INCAT is focused on services and solutions for Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Information Lifecycle Management (ILM), creating value for its clients through its unique-in-the-industry Global Delivery Model, its state-of-the-art technology and a pragmatic approach to engineering and manufacturing processes that reduces costs and time to market; and helps clients realize superior products.

INCAT is headquartered in the United States (Novi, Mich.) and Germany (Stuttgart). Tata Technologies is headquartered in Pune, India. INCAT has a combined global work force of more 3,000 employees serving clients worldwide from facilities in North America, Europe and the Asia-Pacific region.

OPTIS is the first company in the world to integrate solutions for the simulation of light, 100% based on a physical model, in a CAD software. Specialised in optics and in software development, OPTIS software helps engineers optimize the lighting performance of products, and to ensure the visual comfort of human machine interfaces by giving physical information about visual phenomena including reflections, color perception, light propagation, uniformity, and intensity. Their Hyper realistic-rendering solution enables engineers to visualise future products as they will appear to the final user. Its software solutions are used in 36 countries worldwide by manufacturers, researchers and architects and have sold more than 5500 licences. They are available in standalone version and also versions integrated in CATIA V5 and SolidWorks by Dassault Systèmes. OPTIS is SolidWorks Gold Partner for its software OptisWorks, and Dassault Systèmes Software Partner for SPEOS CAA V5 BASED, integrated in CATIA V5.  OPTIS is based in Toulon, France and has offices in Montreal, Stuttgart and Tokyo.
