Minnetronix Completes Facility Expansion

ST. PAUL, Minn.—(BUSINESS WIRE)—Sept. 15, 2006— St. Paul-based Minnetronix, a medical device contract design and manufacturing company, completed a new 23,600-square-foot addition to its facility at 1635 Energy Park Drive. The expansion doubles the facility size, enabling the company to expand operations, and better serve customers as it enters its second decade in business.

"We feel very fortunate to be celebrating our tenth anniversary and the opening of our newly expanded facility at the same time," said Richard Nazarian, president and CEO, Minnetronix. "Our talented employees are the reason for our success and growth. We look forward to our next decade of providing high quality contract design and manufacturing to support the growing medical device industry."

Focusing 100 percent on the medical device industry, Minnetronix provides design, engineering, and manufacturing services to medical device companies, helping them to reduce their capital costs and increase their products' speed to market. Device companies, large and small, are increasingly partnering with specialized firms like Minnetronix for development and manufacturing processes that extend or strengthen their areas of core competency.

Minnetronix serves clients coast to coast within the United States, including St. Jude Medical, Possis, 3M, CardioFocus, Orqis Medical, Terumo, Arrow International and the Cleveland Clinic.

Minnetronix was established in 1996 when Richard Nazarian, Jonathan Pierce and Dirk Smith left 3M to start a medical device-focused engineering company, adding manufacturing capabilities the next year. Ten years later, Minnetronix is a 100-employee company projecting continued growth.
