Intergraph Introduces SmartPlant 3D V6.1

Breakthrough Plant Design and Engineering Software now Supports Oracle and Microsoft Database Platforms

HUNTSVILLE, Ala.—(BUSINESS WIRE)—May 3, 2006— Intergraph Corporation (NASDAQ: INGR) today introduced the newest version of SmartPlant(R) 3D, the Company's next generation plant design and engineering software for increasing productivity through an advanced plant design environment based on a rule driven software architecture.

In addition to other enhancements, SmartPlant 3D version 6.1 now supports both Oracle and Microsoft commercial database platforms, enabling clients to deploy SmartPlant 3D in full conformance with their corporate database platform standards while eliminating administrative costs of nonconforming or proprietary databases.

"Intergraph listened to our business's need to have SmartPlant 3D support Oracle and responded by delivering the solution for our rollout of SmartPlant 3D this year," said Mr. Frank Schnabel, Vice President Plant Engineering, Siemens Power Generation. Siemens Power Generation group of Siemens AG is standardizing worldwide on Intergraph's SmartPlant Enterprise suite of software and engineering integration technology, including SmartPlant 3D.

In addition to its other strengths, SmartPlant 3D's open, commercial database environment makes the software an ideal fit for Siemens' open, standards-based software infrastructure.

"We are committed and continue to invest in technology that provides our clients with a real advantage in today's highly competitive and dynamic marketplace," said Gerhard Sallinger, president, Intergraph Process, Power & Marine. We understand the needs of the market and listen to our clients. The open commercial database platform provided in SmartPlant 6.1 is the next logical evolution in delivering a flexible and complete engineering enterprise environment that reduces cost, increases productivity and ultimately the profitability of both the EPC's and Owner/Operators."
