FISHER/UNITECH To Host Open Houses For New Dimension 1200 3D Printers

TROY, Mich.—(BUSINESS WIRE)—April 26, 2006— FISHER/UNITECH, a leading engineering technologies firm serving the Midwest, announced today a series of Open Houses scheduled throughout the month of May, that will showcase the new Dimension 1200 3D Printers. This will be the first opportunity to see the machines in North America since the Dimension Printing Group announced their availability on April 13, 2006. The Dimension BST and SST 1200 Series gives designers more flexibility with larger build size and faster printing at an affordable price.

The Dimension 1200 Series, based on the same reliable platform as Dimension's current offering (768), features a build envelope that is 57 percent larger, giving designers and engineers increased flexibility to produce larger, functional 3D models at a fast rate. The new 3D printers also include upgraded Catalyst(R) EX software, providing designers an even easier-to-use toolset for efficiently processing 3D models. The Dimension BST 1200 and SST 1200 are priced beginning at $21,900 and $29,900, respectively, and are available immediately through FISHER/UNITECH. The company will host Open Houses on the following dates and locations and is offering a free ABS part to anyone who schedules a requirements meeting in advance.

The introduction of the 1200 Series 3D printers follows on the recent price reductions for Dimension's current line of 3D printers, the Dimension 768 Series. The 768 Series include an updated exterior, and utilize upgraded Catalyst EX software. The Dimension BST 768 and SST 768 are priced beginning at $18,900 and $24,900, respectively.

Dimension's 1200 and 768 Series 3D printers use durable ABS plastic, allowing users to test 3D prints for functionality, form and fit. The Dimension SST models include all the functionality of the BST models, but incorporate an automated soluble support removal system, which gives users greater convenience in the design process by reducing engineering time and enabling the development of prototypes with more complex design geometries.
