TranscenData takes data interoperability to centre stage at Product Development 2006

PRESS RELEASE
21 March 2005

TranscenData Europe will be showcasing its industry-leading interoperability solutions at the launch of the UK’s largest design technology and engineering solutions exhibition, Product Development 2006.

Visitors to this year’s Product Development event, which takes place on 17 and 18 May at the NEC Pavilion in Birmingham, will be able to view live demonstrations of TranscenData’s innovative interoperability software, at stand number 919. The TranscenData team will also be on hand with advice to help companies solve interoperability issues, such as CAD file comparison and legacy data migration.

TranscenData will be demonstrating the latest enhancements to its product range: CADfix, its industry-leading CAD data exchange, repair and model simplification tool; CADIQ, the CAD model quality analysis and full 3D geometry/topology comparison solution; IGESworks, for large scale 2D and 3D legacy data migration projects; and DEXcenter, the enterprise solution that brings together CAD systems and interoperability tools in a fully automated environment for seamless engineering supply chain integration.

Andy Chinn, Business Development Manager, TranscenData Europe, said: “The comprehensive array of CAD/CAM/CAE solutions on display at the Product Development exhibition, will be a visual reminder for engineers and designers of the ever present need for effective interoperability between diverse engineering applications. As the number and complexity of CAD/CAM/CAE products grows, so does the need for reliable interoperability solutions.

“TranscenData software helps to overcome these data interoperability problems,” continues Chinn. “Not only does this make for smoother workflow between different departments, clients and suppliers, it also raises the value of engineering product data. By ensuring that the right data is readily available to all parties throughout the engineering supply chain, significant cost savings can be made during the design to manufacture process. Product Development 2006 offers an ideal platform for TranscenData to demonstrate the benefits that our comprehensive solutions can bring to today’s highly competitive engineering industry.”

Product Development 2006, which replaces the Solid Modelling and Prototype events, will offer the latest design, engineering and production technologies, featuring solutions for every stage of the product development process -from concept to production and documentation.
