Autodesk Completes Alias Acquisition

INCAT, a Tata Technologies company, and a provider of PLM services, engineering and design services, consulting, and associated services announced the acquisition of CEDIS Mechanical Engineering GmbH, a Stuttgart, Germany-based provider of automotive engineering and design services to some of the world's leading manufacturers. CEDIS, a privately owned company with 50 employees, was founded in 1992, and is headquartered in Stuttgart, Germany. The company, while primarily a provider of engineering and design services, also provides CAE education and consulting in rapid prototyping, as well as hardware and software support services. These professional service offerings are now part of INCAT's. Top CEDIS clients include Johnson Controls, DaimlerChrysler, MAHLE, Modine Europe, Eberspacher, ORIS, Lear Corporation, Mercedes AMG, Alpine Electronics, and BOS.

Dassault Systemes To Sponsor Competition At 2006 North American International Auto Show
Dassault Systemes announced that it will co-sponsor the "EyesOn Design" competition that was held at the 2006 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) on January 10, 2006. EyesOn Design is a Detroit Institute of Ophthalmology (DIO) fundraising event, which honors and recognizes the most significant automotive designs on display at the auto show. Internationally renowned designers from the automotive, consumer and industrial design communities will judge the show's extensive display of innovative production and concept vehicles. Dassault Systemes was the sole sponsor of one of the awards at the event, the DIO Award for Design Excellence - Aesthetics and Innovation, which focuses on overall design merit and execution and can encompass any category of vehicle design.

Teksoft To Distribute And Market Geometric Software Products
Last year, Geometric Software Solutions Co. Ltd acquired Teksoft Inc. To effectively leverage channel management, sales & marketing, Teksoft has been given the additional responsibility for Geometric's Desktop software products. Teksoft will continue to develop and market the product CAMWorks. It will also act as the distributor for Geometric's Desktop software products and be the strategic marketing arm for Geometric technologies. Geometric has had a business relationship with TekSoft for 10 years prior to it's being acquired and is TekSoft's CAMWorks development partner. Teksoft has its own CAMWorks development team in the U.S. and leverages the offshore programming capability of Geometric which acts as an extension of TekSoft's R&D team.Geometric offers services based on CATIA, ENOVIA,DELMIA, eMatrix, Teamcenter Enterprise (Metaphase), Windchill, and other CAD/CAM/CAE/PDM software platforms.
