3D Systems Introduces Faster InVision LD 3-D Printer Model

VALENCIA, Calif.—(BUSINESS WIRE)—Jan. 11, 2006— 3D Systems Corporation (Nasdaq: TDSC), a leading provider of rapid 3-D printing, prototyping and manufacturing solutions, announced today the introduction of a new generation of its InVision LD 3-D printer that is able to produce parts 30% faster.

This printer uses a reliable, low-cost technology that transforms 3-D CAD drawings into highly detailed, strong, three-dimensional solid thermoplastic parts.

The InVision LD 3-D printer builds complex geometrical shapes for communication and concept modeling applications by fusing, masking and trimming layers of VisiJet(TM) LD plastic into solid parts. It is also ideal for engineering and industrial design departments within educational institutions.

"At 3D Systems, one of our priorities is to develop products and solutions that improve our customer's bottom line," said Abe Reichental, 3D Systems' president and chief executive officer. "The new, faster InVision LD 3-D printer provides an even more efficient and cost-effective desktop 3-D printer for the earliest stages of product design, enabling designers, engineers and marketers to build more parts in any given time period."

"With the introduction of this new InVision LD printer model, we continue to improve and broaden our portfolio of affordable and efficient 3-D printers, which includes the current InVision LD, InVision SR and InVision HR 3-D printers," continued Reichental. "We are committed to transforming the way people design, develop and produce parts and to supporting this effort with strong field presence and expert service capabilities. We are striving to develop and offer 3-D printers with the functionality, price points and value proposition that meet the needs of our customers and users."

"The InVision LD printer remains the most valuable 3-D printer in its class. Currently offered at $22,900, it provides our customers with a combination of compact, affordable, user friendly, and fast printing-solution features," concluded Reichental.
