RuleStream Named A "Top 40 Emerging Software Vendor"

WAKEFIELD, Mass.—(BUSINESS WIRE)—Dec. 6, 2005— RuleStream Corporation, a leading provider of rules-driven product management (RPM) solutions to the discrete manufacturing industries, today announced that it has been recognized for its growth and innovation in 2005 by two major publications. RuleStream has been named to Manufacturing Business Technology's annual list of Top 40 Emerging Software Vendors in the magazine's October 2005 issue, and Industry Week's December issue recognized RuleStream as a "Notable Innovation" in their annual Technology of the Year Awards.

Manufacturing Business Technology's emerging vendors list spotlights 40 vendors as judged by their senior editorial team, with factors such as growth statistics and recent customer wins weighing heavily in the decision making. RuleStream customer Babcock & Wilcox was also recently featured on the cover of Manufacturing Business Technology's June issue with the accompanying cover story about how they used RuleStream to help streamline their request-for-proposal (RFP) and design processes.

Industry Week's Technology and Innovation Awards Program celebrates the primary drivers of the world's economic progress -- innovators and technologies.

"With RuleStream's achievements in innovative technology and customer success widely acknowledged by analysts and media, the company is well positioned for growth," said Robert Nierman, CEO of RuleStream. "RuleStream has been heralded as a technology leader, and we're proud to add the recognition as one of the Top 40 Emerging Software Vendors and as a 'Notable Innovation' for 2005 to our list of recent achievements."

RuleStream recently doubled its fabrication and assembly market customer base, announcing a number of new customers and related success stories. The company is now extending its innovative technology to additional verticals with a focus on automotive, aerospace/defense, and AEC (architecture, engineering and construction) - where it will facilitate innovation in new product development while reducing time to market.

RuleStream's software is designed to complement other best-in-class enterprise software providers to significantly expand the benefits of PLM implementations and to extend their customer's software investments. A successful implementation with MatrixOne was recently announced, as was a new partnership with PTC.

Sustaining technology leadership, RuleStream recently launched a new .NET(R) version of its flagship product that allows vendors, field sales or customers to access RuleStream over the public Internet, extending the value of RPM across the enterprise. Collaborative Product Development Associates (CPDA) reported that RuleStream's innovative rules-driven product management (RPM) solution has broken through several key technological barriers to capturing and reusing product-centric engineering knowledge.
