Varion Systems Completes Govern Implementation For The City Of Hamilton, Ohio; System To Manage The City’s Addressing And Land Development Processes

Chicago, IL – November 11, 2005 - Varion Systems, the software development and value-added reseller division of GeoAnalytics, Inc, has completed the implementation of a land management software system for the City of Hamilton, Ohio.

Varion Systems implemented Govern for Windows 8.5 within five different business areas throughout the City. Construction Services, Public Works, Planning, Health, and the Neighborhood Development Department all now use Govern Software for Permits, Inspections, and Contractor Licensing. Along with Govern, the City is leveraging GovMap. GovMap, built by Varion Systems using ESRI’s world renowned GIS technology, is an embedded GIS application that allows the user to spatially query, select, view, and analyze data.

With Govern, City staff now has the ability to process, view, and report on land management activities by a variety of different City departments. “The Govern application has allowed us to centralize and automate many processes here in Hamilton. Govern’s eInspections provides inspectors with a field tool for logging inspections. Govern.Web offers contractors access to permit and inspection status, and provides a city wide solution from plans submittals, assigning fees, to permits and inspections,” said Rob McLelland, Senior GIS Specialist for the City of Hamilton. “Govern is a complete package!”
