Includes First Industry Specific Internet Search
Industry Eyes is the first online research tool of its kind tailored to the aviation industry. The portal brings together aviation industry-related information via an aviation specific web search, an interactive industry directory, and a cross-referenced FAA database. Instead of sifting through dozens of web sites to research industry information, users can now use Industry Eyes to locate information within a single site and in a matter of seconds.
The Industry Eyes portal consists of three key elements. First, the portal includes industry-specific Web search capability based on a Web crawler and relevance-ranking model. Second, there is a database search of FAA technical, operational and regulatory information. This unique database takes complex and hard-to-find FAA data and presents it cleanly via a keyword search and cross-reference capability. Lastly, the portal comprises of an industry directory of companies, products and services.
"Since our beginning, ILS has been an innovative provider of aviation information. The latest example of this innovation is our work with Terabase to develop the industry's first, comprehensive aviation-based portal," said Bruce Langsen, president, ILS. "In our commitment to help our customers achieve optimal business performance, we have provided the fastest, most efficient source of aviation related information anywhere."
