CD-adapco To Exhibit At SAE Commercial Vehicle Engineering Congress And Exhibition

New York and London, October 31, 2005: CD-adapco will be exhibiting at the SAE Commercial Vehicle Engineering Congress and Exhibition, to be held November 1-3, 2005 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center , Rosemont, Illinois. SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) hosts this annual event which will offer technical papers and presentations on all applications of off-highway and commercial vehicle design and manufacturing.

CD-adapco has extensive experience in these areas and our knowledgeable staff would be happy to discuss how this can translate to cost savings for you. Plan on visiting us in Booth 319 where we will be showcasing recent activities in areas such as underhood aero, aftertreatment, diesel engine development, electronics cooling, internal combustion engine developments, and EGR cooler analysis.

The 2005 Top20Auto survey ranks CD-adapco's STAR-CD as the top CFD code in the automotive industry. The survey, compiled by "Top500 SupercomputerSites", places STAR﷓CD convincingly ahead of our rivals in terms of the number of installed gigaflops for each package. Using this criterion, STAR-CD also ranks as the fourth top automotive CAE application overall. The survey also notes that CFD is the fastest growing CAE application in the automotive industry.

Richard Johns, CD-adapco's Director for the Automotive Sector, is pleased but not surprised. "To have your leadership confirmed in an independent survey is always flattering, but the result comes as no great shock", he said. "Our aim is not just to be the de facto industry leader, but to have the greatest impact upon the VPD process of our partners."

Dennis Nagy, Vice President of Marketing and Business Development at CD-adapco, sees increased dominance in the future, "We are the only CFD vendor to offer Full Spectrum Flow Simulation software and services. No other CFD solution provider can cope with the full range of flow simulations and VPD process situations required by the automotive industry. From individual CAD parts to entire vehicle systems, STAR-CD can handle it".

Having worked with most of the leading architects, designers and manufacturers in the automotive, truck, bus and off-highway industries, CD-adapco feels confident we can help you achieve your goals in an area that is changing rapidly and achieving world-wide interest.
