New Online Acrobat Community Established For Mechanical Engineering

Solved online provides dynamic new web resource for Acrobat and PDF users from the mechanical engineering and AEC community

Solved magazine enters a new phase in its development with the launch of Solved online, a new Internet resource for users of Adobe Acrobat and Adobe PDF from the MCAD and AEC community. Solved online, incorporating the interactive Solved Forum, will go live on 26 October 2005.

Solved magazine is an independent and highly practical source of informative editorial aimed at promoting discussion about end-to-end document workflow and ways in which Acrobat and PDF can be used and improved. Fully supported by Adobe but independently managed by specialist engineering marketing agency, The Crocodile, Solved has evolved into a web portal and online forum, an industry community where visitors can join other mechanical engineering and AEC professionals in sharing information and experiences. The site will feature news, articles, case studies, expert advice and the Solved Forum where registered users can read and post messages and swap tips, tricks, ideas and advice about using Acrobat and PDF to streamline engineering workflows and businesses processes. Solved will also have the exclusive benefit of an active contribution from key Adobe employees.

Recent releases of Acrobat have seen the software evolving into a collaboration tool that specifically addresses the needs of the engineering and AEC community. Many engineering and AEC professionals recognise Acrobat’s potential but are only scratching the surface of its functionality. Solved online will encourage users to engage with one another and share their experiences, gripes and suggestions about how to get the most out of the software.

Solved editorial board member Robyn Pierce comments: “We launched Solved magazine to encourage communication between Acrobat and PDF users in the mechanical engineering and AEC community and have been overwhelmed by the response. Based on the amount of questions and positive feedback we have received there is clearly a demand for an independent forum and a peer-to-peer resource that will help manufacturing and AEC businesses collaborate and compete more effectively. We are well on our way to making Solved online the industry’s number one web portal for trustworthy and practical information about Acrobat and PDF.”

Yes , I do rate your online Acrobat Community excellent rating for your earnest efforts in solving global user's concern regarding numerous ongoing application problems..
    I wish you grand success.
I found that the Planet PDF Forum iis not helping Customers seeking hellp, but are indulging in explaining away comments that in no way addresses the problems. Many of the said problems posted in that Forum are still not solved.
I got your website address whilst browsing the various topics addressed om that Forum, and some of the answers given by your community seems to have satistfied the customers who posed their application problems in Acrobat 7.0 P.
Please see my " Study Report of Customer Problems in newer Acrobats ' posted in Talkback session.
    Regards and best wishes
