John Stark Associates Releases PLM Project Support Package V1.6

John Stark Associates announce the release of Version 1.6 of its PLM Project Support Package for PLM Initiative Managers and PLM Project Leaders.

The package includes a collection of support tools and material to help organizations save time in projects for PLM awareness, PLM feasibility and PLM strategy development.

New versions are developed in response to requests from organizations already using the package. Version 1.6 includes numerous extensions leading to its renaming from the previous 'Making Progress With PLM In 2005'.

New in the Version 1.6 package are Part 3's Excel templates for PLM maturity positioning and ROI calculation. Part 1 has been extended to an 80-page PDF document which includes 60 Questions and Answers about PLM ; a PLM Vision ; a PLM Capability and Maturity Model ; and suggestions for launching a PLM Initiative. Part 2 now includes more than 150 PowerPoint slides for management presentations about PLM, PLM Projects and PLM Strategy. Part 4 continues to provide telephone support.

PLM is focused on maximizing the value of current and future products. It manages products across the five phases of the product lifecycle: imagination; definition; realization; use/support/maintenance; retirement/disposal/recycling. PLM is holistic, addressing elements of processes, data, people and applications. Many of these elements already exist within companies, but may need to be reorganized in a PLM initiative.

The PLM Project Support Package helps meet the challenge of launching and running a project to achieve a typical PLM target of increasing revenues from new and existing products by 30%. The package provides knowledge, experience and advice to help project teams make fast progress with PLM.
