Capgemini Joins JT Open Program

NEW YORK—(BUSINESS WIRE)—Sept. 19, 2005— Capgemini, one of the world's leaders in consulting, technology and outsourcing services, announced that it has strengthened its alliance with UGS by joining the JT Open Program as an Advocate member. JT Open is a unique community of software users and independent software vendors committed to the widespread adoption of a single, open and preferred 3D visualization platform based on JT technology.

"Capgemini's membership in the JT Open community confirms our endorsement of an industry wide 3D visualization standard," said Eric Wines, UGS Alliance Manager in the Product Life Cycle Management (PLM) practice of Capgemini. "We have found the majority of our PLM customers to be productively using the JT Open format for visualization, with any PLM or ERP package. By supporting a common and already widely used global standard for visualization, we can continue to improve collaboration use in any industry supply chain for significant cost savings."

"The addition of Capgemini in the JT Open Program is further evidence that JT is being accepted as the standard format for sharing 3D data among leading companies," said Mark Matousek, JT Open Program Manager, UGS. "Membership in the JTO Program will be an excellent opportunity for Capgemini to hear first hand from some of the world's leading members companies about how JT and the JT Open Program are helping manufacturers worldwide significantly improve their ability to collaborate throughout their product lifecycle process. The addition of Capgemini to the JT Open Program continues the global expansion and further strengthens JT Open's momentum across industries," said Matousek.
