The convention is being held from September 14th– 21st at the Hannover Fairgrounds in Hannover, Germany.
The GibbsCAM MTM (Multi-Task Machining) module addresses the programming needs of the new breed of CNC multi-task and screw machine tools, which employ multiple tool groups/turrets and multiple spindles with greater than 4-axes of motion. These machine tools, which are extremely popular in Europe, are a growing market segment worldwide due to their highly efficient operation, which minimizes production costs in set-up and part handling by performing all machining processes required to completely machine a finished part. Reduced inspection, process documentation, and even shop floor space requirements contribute greatly to an overall reduction in shop overhead.

GibbsCAM MTM provides a powerful drag-and-drop, graphical user interface (GUI) which makes programming MTM class machines easier than before. Synchronizing multiple aspects of a multi-task process and transferring work-in-process pieces are straight forward operations with MTM’s Sync Manager, which manages the various timing dependencies and presents the process flows to the user in a graphically intuitive view.
Since its introduction in September 2002, GibbsCAM MTM has expanded its support to the broadest range of multi-tasking machine tools and is now capable of supporting the majority of popular models, such as Mazak Integrex 200 III ST, Okuma MacTurn 250W, Nakamura Tome WTS 150 and Super NTJ, Daewoo Puma 230, 300 and 2500, Mori Seiki MT 1000SZ, MT 2000SZ, and MT 2500SZ, Tsugami BS 20 C III, Star SV 32, and Citizen E, L, and M series. Rather than relying upon the end user to setup up the system parameters and post processors, GibbsCAM MTM’s factory supplied configurations and post processors capture every subtle nuance introduced by a customer’s specific machine tool configuration. What is displayed on the screen by GibbsCAM’s Cut Part Rendering is what is machined.
