Major Swedish Producer Of Nuclear Energy Chooses SMARTEAM

PARIS & STOCKHOLM, Sweden—(BUSINESS WIRE)—Sept. 7, 2005— Forsmarks Kraftgrupp AB, Dassault Systemes (Nasdaq: DASTY) (Euronext Paris:#13065,DSY.PA) and SolidEngineer AB, a SMARTEAM value added reseller, today announced that Forsmark will be implementing enterprise SMARTEAM Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) at its site in Roslagen. The solution will enable the large nuclear power plant, which produces about 18% of Sweden's electricity, to optimize its plant management efforts. Sweden-based SolidEngineer will deploy the solution for over 1,000 power plant users across divisions, both within and beyond the engineering domain.

SMARTEAM, a wholly owned subsidiary of Dassault Systemes, provides collaborative product and assets lifecycle management solutions to more than 3500 customers worldwide, helping them leverage IP across diverse teams, applications and sites to increase efficiency, quality and profitability.

Forsmarks Kraftgrupp will use SMARTEAM to maximize access and control over the most up-to-date plant and production data, improving its ability to efficiently meet extremely high environmental, safety and production capacity targets.

In Phase One, Forsmark will build its core PLM infrastructure, using SMARTEAM to integrate and manage multi-CAD design and engineering data related to its equipment and facilities -- replacing three existing document handling systems in the process. SMARTEAM's workflow capabilities will help Forsmark standardize business process management across enterprise teams. The solution will employ SolidEngineer's unique Documentation of Products concept -- a functional layer that adds value by incorporating out-of-the-box documentation methodology and behaviours to further speed the implementation.

Plans call for expanding the solution to integrate with the plant's extensive maintenance system, as well as bridge with its SAP ERP system.

"Forsmarks Kraftgrupp is recognized internationally for its high availability and low running costs -- our growth necessitated a PLM strategy. SMARTEAM proved to be the clear choice, flexibly and robustly meeting our demanding and far-reaching criteria," said Malin Lundberg, Project Manager, Forsmarks Kraftgrupp.

"SolidEngineer's 10 years of implementing SMARTEAM show that experience, add-on applications and industrial process know-how are necessary components in bringing a productive PLM solution to the market," said Bjorn Lindwall, CEO, SolidEngineer.

"SmarTeam is pleased to fortify Forsmark's ability to meet its current growth goals and challenges by providing a PLM solution that immediately improves efficiency, collaboration and IP optimization and that is also scalable for strategic expansion in scope over time," said Adina Enden, General Manager, SMARTEAM.
