The design of the Air Breathing Engine is perhaps the most demanding and varied of all the applications for which Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) solutions are required. The necessity of modeling complex geometries within demanding tolerances, coupled with extreme variations in operating conditions poses a formidable challenge. Simultaneously, design cycle times are being shortened, placing a greater dependence upon the efficiency and accuracy of CFD simulations.
