Camarillo, Calif.—September 1, 2005—Creators of one of the world’s leading CAM software systems, DP Technology Corp. will demonstrate its flagship product, ESPRIT, at CMTS in Toronto, booth number 203. The latest version of the software continues to build off earlier versions and includes a pre-packaged solution for programming multitasking mill-turn machine tools—helping increase overall productivity.
ESPRIT eliminates the complicated and costly need for end-users to have to devote time to post processor writing and machine definition, formerly routine steps that have increased in complexity with the availability of multitasking machine tools. Instead, ESPRIT’s out-of-the-box CAM solution now delivers complete pre-configured and factory-tested solutions for programming multitasking machine tools from Mori Seiki, Nakamura-Tome, Citizen, EMCO Maier, Mazak, and others.

“Multi-tasking machining can yield a 400 percent increase in productivity,” said Chuck Mathews, DP Technology vice president, “whereas in the past four different machine setups were required.”

ESPRIT’s advanced, real-time simulation performs comprehensive verification of the machining processes without taking machines off-line for expensive dry runs, leaving programmers confident of the results prior to cutting parts.

KnowledgeBase™ in Action
With ESPRIT’s KnowledgeBase™, process-specific information is stored securely and is readily available to any operator or programmer. ESPRIT uses the accumulated “knowledge” of a shop’s best practices and preferred methods to automate CNC programming. With features such as Part-Feature KnowledgeBase™, Process KnowledgeBase™, Speeds and Feeds KnowledgeBase™ and Cutting Tool KnowledgeBase™, streamlining any machining process is made easy.
