Tsinghua University, rated the top university in China, will deploy Visual Numerics' offerings throughout its campus, providing access to its 32,328 students, including 5,223 masters students and 4,659 doctorate candidates.
Zhejiang University, ranked first in Eastern China and third among China's top 10 universities, will extend Visual Numerics' offerings to its 42,845 full-time students, including 11,207 masters students and 5,525 doctorate candidates.
"Visual Numerics' sophisticated mathematical and statistical algorithms saves us from having to develop them ourselves, therefore allowing us to build analytical applications faster for our research," said Dr. Qinming He, director of Zhejiang University's computing center. "These applications will be invaluable in moving China closer to the forefront of technological innovation."
"We are very pleased to have signed campus license agreements with two of China's premier universities," said Phil Fraher, president and CEO of Visual Numerics. "More importantly, we have the opportunity to work with Tsinghua University and Zhejiang University to infuse the knowledge of sophisticated data analysis in the minds of China's future innovators and leaders now to solve real-world problems later."
About the IMSL Numerical Libraries
The IMSL Numerical Libraries have been the cornerstone of highly predictive and deep computing applications in science, technical and business environments for nearly three decades. These embeddable mathematical and statistical algorithms, written in C, C#, Java and Fortran, are used in a broad range of applications -- from programs that make airplanes fly and allow people to predict the weather, to those that enable innovative ways to study the human genome and predict stock market behavior. The IMSL Libraries are regarded as the most sophisticated, flexible, scalable and highly accessible technology available for numerical analysis in the most important mainstream programming environments in use today.
PV-WAVE® is an array based programming language used to build and deploy Visual Data Analysis applications. The PV-WAVE family of products, which includes PV-WAVE, TS-WAVE, and JWAVE, delivers engineers with the development tools to efficiently and accurately meet their data analysis needs. PV-WAVE solutions allow users to rapidly import, manipulate, analyze and visualize data.
The PV-WAVE family also includes robust time series analysis software as well as the ability to share analysis results across the enterprise with a Java-based solution. And, unlike other products, PV-WAVE Advantage includes a sophisticated set of analysis routines based on the industry-standard IMSL Libraries.
