"Today's complex applications utilize traditional materials such as Stainless Steel, Brass, Nitinol, and Tungsten, as well as unconventional ones like Molybdenum, Tantalum, Platinum and Ceramics", said Mr. Mraz. Ultra-high precision machining can be done on curved surfaces, inclined surfaces and thin materials, which are very difficult to produce with other available technologies. A mirror finish surface roughness of 10 nm Rmax, or 2.8 nm RMS, can be achieved.
