Celestry Reports Record Sales Results, Profitability

Positions Itself for Growth in Deep Submicron SoC Market

SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 8, 2002--Celestry Design Technologies, Inc., the leading provider of Silicon Accurate Sign-off(TM) technology for the semiconductor and electronics industry, reported today record high sales and revenue that more than doubled over the last two years.

"Last year was very successful for Celestry," remarked Dr. Zhihong Liu, President and CEO of Celestry. "In spite of the market slow down, coupled with the events of September 11th, we achieved impressive sales growth. We substantially expanded our sales channels, invested in our R&D staffing in USA and China. We successfully completed the merger of BTA and Ultima and integrated our technologies into full-chip SoC sign-off solutions that address the challenges of 0.13 micron and below designs."

"We look forward to an excellent year in 2002," added Dr. Liu. "We continue to invest in our product development to maintain technically superior SoC sign-off products. Additionally, we plan to establish a stronger presence in Europe along with continuing our global expansion."

Celestry has offices in US, China, Japan, Korea, Singapore and Taiwan, and R&D centers in San Jose, Beijing and Shanghai. In 2001, Celestry's new customers and business relationships included companies such as TI, Sanyo, Faraday, TSMC and Keithly.
