MARLBOROUGH, Mass. – November 4, 2004 – Proficiency, the leader in product data interoperability, announced today that Trenton H. Brown has joined the Company as president and chief executive officer.
Brown joins Proficiency from Rand Worldwide, where he was executive vice president of worldwide sales and chief operating officer. Prior to Rand, Brown was co-chairman of The Oakwood Group, a UK- and Australian-based investment company. He was previously executive vice president of international sales for PTC, responsible for two-thirds of the company’s annual revenues, and successful in entering and building new markets throughout the world. He graduated from Western Illinois University, attended the United States Military Academy at West Point, and served as an active duty officer in the United States Army with global assignments.

Brown takes the reins from Scott A.
