HP Becomes Systems Integrator for MatrixOne's First Local Project in China

WESTFORD, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 22, 2002-- As a key element of maintaining its market leadership position as well as helping to accomplish its research and development (R&D) goals, Shanghai Bell Co., Ltd., a leading telecommunications and information systems company in China, has selected product collaboration solutions from MatrixOne, Inc. (NASDAQ: MONE - news) to manage the entire lifecycle of its products and processes. Hewlett-Packard Company has been selected to be the systems integrator for this project.

MatrixOne's leading product collaboration solutions for the value chain will enable Shanghai Bell to collaborate earlier in the product development process with its external partners as well as within its enterprise. This will ensure accurate product specifications and streamline internal processes. The result is the potential for increased cost savings, improved quality, and faster time to market. .

MatrixOne's solutions will address Shanghai Bell's need for an efficient, flexible, and secure IT solution to increase its R&D operational efficiencies.
