AVEVA’s International Symposium for Engineering IT (ISEIT) 2004 Goes Mobile

Cambridge UK -- AVEVA (LSE:AVV), today announces that its annual plant design and engineering industry event, the International Symposium for Engineering IT (ISEIT, www.iseit.com), will go on tour to address its audience in their local regions throughout Europe, West Asia, Africa, the Americas, and Asia Pacific. ISEIT will present a programme of live demonstrations, presentations, and debates, delivered by senior figures from the world’s most adventurous engineering projects. ISEIT is open to engineering and owner/operator firms interested in discussing best practices, project management, and getting the best value from information through the use of engineering IT.

Continuing ISEIT's dedication to exposing real business benefits from technology that is proven in industry, each event will provide project case studies presented by leading engineering companies followed with live, 'hands on' proof of those featured technologies in action. The event will also feature a 'round table' business direction workshop aimed at directors and senior engineering management.

Regional dates for ISEIT 2004 are:

EMEA: 12 - 13 October 2004
Dorint AM Main-Taunus-Zentrum Hotel, Sulzbach/Taunus, Germany

Americas: 18 - 19 October 2004
Omni Houston Westside Hotel, Houston, Texas

Japan: 15 - 16 November 2004
Tokyo Big Sight, Tokyo, Japan

Asia: 18 - 19 November 2004
Chime Long Hotel, Guangzhou, China

Taking the event to the audience in their local territories is intended to minimise travel and interruption to their business calendars. With this approach, AVEVA can focus on delivering local and global topics and wrap them in domestic culture to meet the needs of national audiences. It also allows delegates to gain more insight into how engineering IT strategies have been applied to similar companies in their region for maximum benefits.

Richard Longdon, CEO of AVEVA Group plc, said: "Our customers invest huge amounts of time and money into pushing back the frontiers of productivity. That means, quite literally, that every moment counts in today's engineering business. The condensed 'no-nonsense' approach of ISEIT 2004 will deliver real reference cases and proof of AVEVA's technology's impact on project productivity levels right to customers' doorsteps. Only AVEVA's evolutionary approach can demonstrate today's success and tomorrow's direction in combination. ISEIT is a unique set of events."
