The 2015 version of the FeatureCAM feature-based CAM system includes a range of enhancements in three-axis milling, two-axis and five-axis drilling, turning and turn-mill, and wire EDM to make the software even more powerful and easier to use. Featured Video – Cycle helmet produced at BIMU |
Delcam’s CADCAM solution – PowerSHAPE, PowerMILL and PowerINSPECT – was used to reverse engineer the Rudy Project Windmax cycle helmet. The helmet was produced on multiple machines, including a Comau robot, CMS router, Isper machine tool and a Mazak Variaxis j600-5AX, at the recent BIMU exhibition.

Visit to India with UK Deputy PM |
Delcam President, Clive Martell, was an industry delegate on the official visit to India by UK Deputy Prime Minister, Nick Clegg. Mr. Martell and Delcam India Managing Director, Vineet Seth, met with leading aerospace companies in Bangalore, including Airbus India, HAL and UTAS, during the visit.

ArtCAM saves time and money for theatre |
ArtCAM is being used by the workshops at St. Petersburg’s world-famous Mariinsky Theatre to produce spectacular scenery for operas and other productions. The software allows the scenery to be made from two-dimensional vector drawings created with AutoCAD more quickly and at significantly lower cost.

Record recruitment in Birmingham |
Delcam has added a total of 32 graduates and undergraduates to the staff at its Birmingham headquarters, a record number of recruits for the company’s annual summer intake. The extra staff are being added across the company’s various departments, including software development, engineering support and marketing.

Delcam is putting members of its development team through the Seco Technical Education Programme (STEP) to update their understanding of the latest developments in cutting-tool technology.
