Excellerated Engineering to Merge with GoEngineer
COSTA MESA, Ca., Oct. 23, 2001 - Two leading SolidWorks resellers have announced the completion of a merger that creates one of the largest teams in North America dedicated towards the delivery of SolidWorks software and solutions, targeted towards mechanical engineering organizations. The combination of the two businesses will operate under the name of GoEngineer.
Ken Coburn, President and founder of GoEngineer, has stated that there is very little overlap in resources and expects all current employees to remain with the company. The current offices and training centers will remain in full operation to increase our customer support throughout LA and Orange County. Kevin Douglas and Craig Malak, co-founders of Excellerated Engineering, will take on senior management positions at GoEngineer and will make significant contributions to the operations of the combined companies.
“The underlying business principles of both GoEngineer and Excellerated are very aligned, with the emphasis on quality customer care and supporting only the best products,” said Kevin Douglas. Kevin also believes, “The combination of the two companies establishes GoEngineer as a substantial player in the MCAD market and will better serve our customer base with the addition of extensive customer support and training resources.”
