Oxford, England. October 08, 2012
The first PLM-ERP Workshop took place in Bristol, UK on 18-20 September and has produced the Version 1.0 Handbook.
The second Workshop will take place in Atlanta, USA on 24-26 October and will produce a Version 2.0 Handbook that embodies the American experience of PLM-ERP.
The series completes with the Third Workshop, hosted by ZF Friedrichshafen AG at their headquarters in Germany on 06-08 November, after which the final version of the Handbook will be released. Everyone who takes part in the series receives the Version 3.0 Handbook, which will be in use throughout 2013 and is likely to become an industry standard.
The PLM-ERP Workshop series aims to resolve the whole subject of PLM-ERP, not by overwriting or superseding what is already known, but by capturing the knowledge that exists amongst those who have implemented PLM-ERP and formalising it into a reference point that can act as a cornerstone for progress.
The Workshops are open to users, vendors, integrators and consultants and offer an excellent format to compare experiences and methodologies. Some companies are sending teams so that colleagues from different areas can get a unified view of the subject. Registration for Atlanta and Friedrichshafen is open, and Registration Forms can be found at the PLMIG web site
