October 5, 2012 - IMTS 2012 has been a runaway success for
Sescoi and its flagship
WorkNC CAD/CAM software, with double the number of visitors to its booth compared to IMTS 2010, attracted by the impressive sample milled parts on display and recommendations from OEM partner companies also exhibiting at IMTS.
However, Sescoi ascribes a large part of its success at the show to its social media campaigns, including a mini blog devoted to IMTS, and teaser images of showcase milled parts, which generated an astonishing level of interest in its products. According to C.A.Jordan, Sescoi’s international marketing manager, “ On Facebook alone, the WorkNC CADCAM page currently has more than 138,000 fans and our communication regularly reaches over 500,000 users. Visitors to the Sescoi booth at IMTS produced a continual flow of postings about WorkNC before, during and after the exhibition”.
Before IMTS even started, dozens of demonstration had been pre-booked for Sescoi’s software solutions including the latest versions of WorkNC CAD/CAM for automatic 2 to 5-axis machining and its Auto 5 automatic 3-to-5 axis conversion module, the new WorkNC CAD Hybrid Modeler, the latest WorkNC Electrode software, the WorkXPlore 3D high speed viewer, and WorkPLAN Solutions Version 4 its ERP or custom manufacturers.
According to Jeff Jaje, Sescoi U.S.’s marketing and business development manager, “ IMTS has been a great show for us - we are definitely creating waves in the marketplace as more and more engineers are talking about our software in social media. IMTS visitor numbers were up by 20% since 2010, so a 100% increase in visitors to our booth is a major achievement.”
