DOCTAR Software Adds Netlist Compare Support for Mentor Expedition, OrCAD, and Protel Printed Circuit Board -PCB- Designs

Latest release also adds report of all changes to physical etch and makes board design reviews easier and faster.

BEDFORD, N.H.—(BUSINESS WIRE)—Nov. 14, 2003— cadalist-enterprises has released version 2.30 of its DOCTAR(TM) (Design Object Compare and Reporter) Software. DOCTAR compares two PCB design files and reports what has changed. It is used for hardware design and sub-design reviews, ECO documentation, PCB cost estimation and managing outsourced design projects.

The new release features input file support for Mentor's Expedition, OrCAD, and Altium's Protel design tools plus a streamlined user-interface, new and improved HTML reporting format, and an important new report of etch length changes.

"I believe the etch length diff report is the most important part of this release because it tells you what critical signal etch has changed and by how much" says Michael Shannon, President and CTO of cadalist-enterprises, LLC. "Having easy access to a prioritized list of etch lengths is critical to determining if edits done to the board will impact system performance."
