April 13, 2011 - Anaheim, CA - JH-Workshop.com is offering two newly expanded design workshops this May in Anaheim, CA. The event will be hosted by motor expert Jim Hendershot and will cover useful tips and techniques on how to design brushless dc and induction type motors.
Both workshops follow the same format: The first day focuses on theory: learning about the design steps, required decisions and analysis approaches for optimizing the machine design based on a typical spec sheet. Day two will be conducted as an interactive design session.
This workshop is intended for beginners and experienced motor designers.
In order to follow along with the instructor during the workshop, all registered attendees will receive a trial version of MotorSolve which they can optionally install and use.
Discussion of topics will include initial sizing, material selection, dimensioning, load point analysis and design iterations. Each topic will include extensive discussion on manufacturing and other constraint-based design of electric machines as typically provided by a specification sheet.
“What makes this workshop unique is attendees are encouraged to share the practical problems they face in their work environment to better understand how to apply the theory to real problems” said Jim Hendershot.
Cost and Registration
For either BLDC or IM:
