In this post, I am going to try and take a deeper look into TopSolid 7′s PDM. In fact we are going to explore revisions together. We will talk about what a revision is and how TopSolid 7 handles it. Let’s get started by asking some key questions.

What is a revision?
I am sure that you have seen revisions come through either from your customers or your own engineering department. A revision can be any change that is made to a product that you are designing or manufacturing. A revision could be something as simple as changing the type of material that something is going to be made from to something as complex as removing 3 key features, and adding 10 new features.
